AlphaESS Qualified as Australian Queensland Governmental Supplier
2016-11-22
AlphaESS has recently been qualified as one of the Integrated Solar and Battery Storage System suppliers of Australian Queensland Government via Local Buy procurement platform.
The Australian Local Councils spend over $32 billion each year. And the Queensland Government currently procures over $16 billion annually of goods and services. Public tender process is required for government spending over $200k, including infrastructures of schools, hospitals, harbours and etc. Nevertheless, companies are reluctant to participate in the government tenders due to tedious documents and process.
Owned by the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ), Local Buy's core focus is to support Queensland Councils to reduce the risk, time and costs associated with internal procurement processes by filtering the qualification of suppliers. Since 2012, Local Buy has established more than 40 prequalified supplier arrangements for Councils.
This Local Buy arrangement enables Councils and Government Authorities to purchase solar & battery storage services from Local Buy pre-qualified suppliers without first seeking tenders or requesting multiple quotes. This effectively means that Councils can access a range of goods and services through a quotation, rather than tender process, saving time and money.
The Local Buy pre-qualification process evaluates business background and track records of suppliers, products quality, equipment warranty and system performance guarantee, and maintenance schedule. By satisfying all the strict requirements and investigations, Alpha ESS has been selected and pre-qualified as one of the 13 Solar + Battery EPC Contractors.
The qualification awarded by Local Buy recognises AlphaESS, the good products and services are endorsed by the Local Government. It also provides the opportunity to partner and engage with Local Government entities and allows Alpha ESS to help users manage their own energy generation, storage, and optimization so as to reduce energy consumption, reduce energy costs, improve electrical safety, and ultimately achieve a self-sufficient green life.
